How "global" is "globalization" ?


 

According to UNCTAD reports, global capitalization and trade rose last year to $ 1.3 trillion driven by 60,000 transnationals with over eight lakh overseas affiliates with roughly $1 trillion among developed countries themselves. India, the subcontinent's largest recipient attracted a mere $2.3 billion. Obviously real globalization is not as easy as often discussed in Indian parlance !
