UNIDO on IPR Challenge for Indian Industry.



 

 

UNIDO in a background paper  has considered four far reaching aspects of globalization  to head the list of ten major challenges for Indian industry. Along with aspects related to competitiveness, access to global trade and trade facilitation, IPRs are identified as the fourth. Be they  even traditional export sectors such as leather, the IPR implications under the New Regime are very serious in absence of adequate local technological capabilities protected through patents.
