It is reported that the US will use presidential authority to keep existing controls on commercial exports with potential military uses after the concerned legislation expires this month, though certain high-tech industries have favoured relaxed controls. This has implications perhaps on India's plans to open up sectors like satellites to private sector with majority FDI shares.
