Dr R.Chidambaram, former Chairman/Atomic Energy Commission, is the new Chairman of Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council  , an autonomous institution established by the Government of India through its Department of Science and Technology, somewhat on the lines of the celebrated MITI of Japan.
