Intelsat is privatized and re-organized.
| The #1.1 billion privatized
company, originally formed under a Treaty in 1964 between 144 member- governments,
will now be managed by a 17 member board. VSNL holds 5.5% share in the
company and is also a board member – new methodologies of international
co-operation.
