Advancement Index ,TAI.
| In its 2001 report ,
UNDP has given a TAI index of 0.201 ( 63 rank in a group of 72 countries)
– compare with 0.337 for Thailand. India, along with China, Brazil, etc
is described as a " dynamic adapter" in terms of technology achievements.
The New IPR Regime could put considerable difficulty for India in continuing
her ‘ adaptation’ strategy , or in other words, India has a lot of catching
up to do, to quote S.Venkataramanan, the former Governor of the RBI.
