| For the first time a
paper has been presented by a Group consisting of Africa Group, Barbados,Bolivia,Brazil,
Dominian Republic, Equador, Honduras, India, Indonasia, Jamaica, Palisthan,
Paraguay, Philippines, Peru, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Venezuela for the
June 20 meeting of TRIPS Council on Access to Medicines seeking that "
TRIPS Agreement does not in any way undermine the legitimate right of WTO
members to formulate their own public health policies and implement them
by adopting measures to protect public health". Details would be covered
