For the period Jan –
Feb 2001 period , 210 patents have been placed for opposition through the
regional centres of the Indian Patents office , as published in the GOI
Gazette. They are classified as follows :
Indian R&D 39 ( mostly
by CSIR )
Indian industry 16
Foreign industry 155.
The New IPR Regime is certainly
attracting more patents from abroad !
