Parliamentary Committee , while dealing with Department of Biotechnology activities, has prevailed upon the Department and all concerned scientists, to be aware of the need of patenting all significant R&D results , knowing that IPR protection plays an important role in gaining an advantageous position in the competitive game of economic growth.It has recommended that procedures be simplified and patents data displayed on internet sites for easy downloading by interested parties.
