WTO meet favours differential pricing.



      According to a recent meeting of a group of interested parties held at Hosbjor,Norway, under the auspices of WTO , WHO, Norwegian Foreign Ministry and US based Global Health Council , in which many representatives from developed and developing countries participated, there was broad recognition that differential pricing could play a key role in ensuring access to existing drugs at affordable prices, particularly in the poorest countries , as followed for vaccines, contraceptives and condoms through a medley of high volume purchasing, reliable and adequate financing, advocacy, corporate responsibility and market forces.
