Do Nobel Laureates believe in patenting?
| Of the 133 Nobel Laureates for the period 1976-1996 , twenty five are also ' patent laureates' .So has been the 1972 winner Leo Esaki ( discoverer of "Tunnel Diode" ) with 21 patents and so is also 2001 winners in physics Eric Cornell and Carl Weiman. This is perhaps in line with the legacy of its founder Alfred Nobel ( whose patent US 78,317 on " Improved Explosive Compounds" was inducted into the US Hall of Fame in 1998 ). |
